Remitee, a rapidly expanding fintech company specializing in international payments, is seeking a Payments Operations Specialist.
We are looking for a Payments Operations Specialist to join our Payments Operations team, reporting directly to the Head of the area. This is a senior role with a strong focus on measuring and analyzing team and operational performance, generating high-value insights, and communicating results both internally and externally.
While the role includes exposure to operational processes, its core responsibility is performance measurement and analysis, positioning data and insights as a value-added service for internal stakeholders and especially for external clients. Over time, this position may evolve into a leadership role, though it does not include people management initially.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and analyze the performance of the Payments Operations team and overall operational processes.
Design, build, and maintain performance metrics and KPIs (e.g., payment speed, rejection rates, root causes of delays, operational efficiency).
Transform data into clear, actionable insights that drive operational improvements and strategic decisions.
Prepare and present performance reports and insights to internal stakeholders.
Lead performance presentations and discussions with external clients, positioning data and operational insights as a value-added service.
Collaborate closely with commercial and client-facing teams to support client communication and relationship management.
Identify improvement opportunities and work with relevant teams to enhance processes and outcomes.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across reports and analyses.
Requirements
Strong experience in payments, operations, fintech, or similar environments, with a clear focus on performance analysis.
Technical or analytical background (Engineering, Data, Economics, Business, or related fields).
Solid knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar).
Senior profile with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex topics.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical or data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Client-facing experience or strong capability to interact confidently with external stakeholders.
Leadership potential and strategic mindset, even if not managing people immediately.
Experience in reading and manipulating APIs (desirable).
