Remitee, a fast-growing fintech specialized in international payments, is looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join our Technology team.
Our Blockchain team is building the on-chain infrastructure behind Remitee's treasury and cross-border settlement: stablecoin liquidity flows, tokenized balances and on-chain accounting that reconciles with our core ledger. In this role you will design, write, test and ship smart contracts and the backend services that interact with them, running in production and moving real value for our Treasury team and our banking and payment partners. You will own technical decisions end-to-end, from contract architecture and security to custody integration, gas management and monitoring.
We are looking for a developer who has already taken blockchain products to mainnet, not just tutorials or hackathon projects, and who understands what it takes to operate them safely in a regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test and deploy Solidity smart contracts on EVM networks, including token contracts (ERC-20 and custom token logic), access control and upgradeable patterns.
• Build and maintain the backend services that interact with the chain: transaction submission, nonce and gas management, event indexing and reconciliation against our internal ledger.
• Integrate with digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure (MPC wallets, policy engines, transaction signing workflows).
• Implement stablecoin flows (e.g. USDC) for funding, settlement and liquidity across corridors, including on/off-ramp and cross-chain integrations (e.g. Circle CCTP or bridge protocols).
• Own smart contract security: threat modeling, comprehensive test suites, fuzzing and static analysis, and coordination with external auditors.
• Evaluate and benchmark EVM networks (L1s and L2s) considering finality, cost, tooling, custody support and liquidity.
• Set up observability for on-chain components: monitoring and alerting on failed or stuck transactions, balance thresholds and contract events.
• Take part in architecture decisions and translate requirements from Treasury, Finance and Compliance into robust technical designs.
• Review code, mentor other engineers and help define development standards, CI/CD and deployment processes for on-chain components.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development, testing and documentation.
Must Have
• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years building blockchain products.
• Proven track record shipping smart contracts to mainnet that are (or were) used in production with real value at stake.
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and deep understanding of the EVM: gas optimization, storage layout, upgradeability patterns (proxies) and common vulnerabilities (reentrancy, access control flaws, oracle manipulation, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with modern development frameworks such as Foundry and/or Hardhat, and libraries such as ethers.js, viem or web3.js.
• Solid backend development skills in at least one language such as TypeScript/Node.js, C#/.NET, Go or Python, including APIs and asynchronous services.
• Experience with wallets, key management and the full transaction lifecycle (signing, broadcasting, confirmations, reorgs).
• Hands-on experience with ERC-20 tokens and stablecoins.
• Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or related fields.
• Advanced English.
Nice to Have
• Background in fintech, payments, banking or treasury operations (liquidity management, prefunding, reconciliation).
• Experience with institutional custody providers (e.g. Fireblocks) or MPC wallet infrastructure.
• Experience with cross-chain messaging and bridges (CCTP, LayerZero, Wormhole, Axelar or similar).
• Experience with smart contract security tooling (Slither, Echidna, Mythril) or participation in audits and bug bounties.
• Experience running nodes, working with RPC providers and building indexers (The Graph or custom).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes) and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of crypto-asset regulation (e.g. MiCA) and KYC/AML in regulated environments.
• Public GitHub, open-source contributions or audited contracts you can share.
